The Flamboyant Gamer: Double Dragon

I have never owned this game or even played it when i was a child. Beat em ups are usually not my cup of tea but after looking at some good reviews from others about it, i have to try it myself. The game is fairly simple, B to punch and A to kick. Progress further and gain experience points by beating the bad guys to unlock special skills which can be performed by using a specific button combination. You have to press A and B simultaneously to jump which i find very interesting and different. My first playthrough of Double Dragon, i only managed to reach the 3rd mission. Without using any guide, i didn't know that after beating the 2 Abodos you need to enter one of the caves. If you did not enter the cave and continue to the right, you will start the level again. So, without any guide you'll go to the next stage only if you're lucky enough. I'm not going to tell every details of my playthrough but i'll tell you this. It took me almost 50 attempts until i manage to learn the pattern of the game and finally beat it. I'm not joking at all. Victory is indeed very sweet after the long and hard fight.
A great game for the NES that i find very entertaining . Despite being really tough for me at the beginning i really enjoy the time spent with it.
